Pics of the Week

The slide show that loops as my Mac screen saver consists of ocean surf or Hawaii related photos. When they pop up, I always chuckle at the pics of me at Pipeline on the north shore of Oahu. We went in March so there was a chance big waves would be rolling in, but they weren't. I figured this was my opportunity to ride some waves at the craziest surf break on the planet (maybe it's a tie with Teahupo'o), so I paddled out. The waves were California sized, but they really wanted to throw you up and over. Considering there is a reef just below the surface, I hung on pretty tight for two waves and called it quits, opting for an injury free vacation.
