After years of making lists by hand, and then with Excel, I recently took my organizational abilities up a few notches by starting to use Toodledo; a free, in-the-clouds list maker.
At http://www.toodledo.com/ , the tag line reads "An easy to use, online to-do list. Get organized, stay motivated, and be more productive." It's a lot like Yahoo or Google mail. You sign in from any computer to view, create and update an unlimited list of tasks. Each task can be assigned a category, priority level and reminder. I paid a few bucks for the iPhone app that goes with it, and now I can view or add to my lists anywhere I go.
This program has really helped my productivity, as well as my organizational sanity. While the interface is not perfect, it sure beats having to consistently make a new list, print out a new version, etc. There is a pay version with more features, but I haven't found a need for it...yet.
